Messages to Josh #2!

It's been about a month since I did my last "Messages for Josh" post. Josh told Jake the last post was one of the nicest things that's ever been done for him so know that he appreciates your kind words to him! I couldn't believe that we got over 30 comments. I was hoping for 10, but 30, WOW!!! You guys are great. So let's try it again and give him some new encouragement!

For those of you who may be new to my blog or don't know who Josh is, he is my brother in law who is in the South Carolina National Guard and is currently deployed to the Middle East. Even if you don't know him, he'd still love to know that you're thinking about him and all his soldier buddies serving our nation in the Armed Services.

Hey Josh,

I was in Jen and Jake's wedding and met you then... just wanted you to know how grateful I am for giving yourself for our country. Know that your labor is NOT in vain, and I have been praying for you specifically since Jen's last post.

Thanks so much, dear soldier ... you are loved, prayed for, and thought of by so many.

Keep fighting the good fight!

Dear Josh - Thank you just isn't even the word for all your sacrifice. We love you and think of and pray often for you. I look at my kids and just get overwhelmed knowing how many, many men and women are protecting us all while sacrificing time with their own families. Thank you and may God bless your service and sacrifice and may He continue His hand upon you and your buddies. His, jen whis

Josh, We know you didn't sign up to be a hero, but in our book that is what you are. We are so proud of you and of Jake for being willing to serve our country. We pray for you each day and can't wait to see you when you get back home. Becky & Kirby

Josh, I have a tree outside my kitchen window. I put a bright yellow ribbon on it and everyday when I look out my window I remember you. I pray that you will feel God's arms around you everyday and that you will be safe. I love you so much and thank you for what you are doing for our country... take care...

Hi Josh,

It is Sherry Stockman, a friend of Jen again. I hope that you are doing well. Many thanks to you for leaving the comforts of your home and family to serve so that I can enjoy the freedom that I do. It is because of people like you all through the ages that Americans live a daily life of freedom. I am sure that you can never really know the full impact that you are having. What you are doing is not in vain. I have your name visible at my desk so that each time the Lord brings you to my mind, I lift you up in prayer. Stay safe.

Josh,
You don't me. I went to school with Jen. I wanted to personally thank you for doing the job that I cannot do-It's a long story. And for willingly going that extra mile for our country and for Jesus.. I'm sure you get a lot of witnessing opportunities over there. I have had a least one friend in Kuait. He said he had many. The Christian soldier's mission statement: The idea is to get rid of the bad guy and leave some Jesus behind. My prayers will be with you (I just got to Jen's site tonight). May God bless you abundantly. If you need anything or would like anything don't hesitate to let us know.
Blessings

Hey Josh,

After reading everyone else's comments it's obvious how much you are loved and prayed for. What a blessing to know the Lord as your Savior and to have friends and family that love Him too. I think of you often (your dad talks about you so much) and I can't tell you how proud I am of you and your willingness to serve. Being an Air Force brat, I understand what it's like to have family that love their country. I also have to giggle because my "fondest" memory of you is when you went on the mission trip with my son and all I heard about when he got home was "how great Josh is." Something about a sleeping bag??? We're praying for you.

Hey Josh!
Just wanted to say happy belated birthday....it's been hectic here.
Hope you are doing well and staying in shape. You can probably take Mr. Neil down now, he had Rota Cuff surgery on Monday, pretty extensive. The ole man is'nt as young as he use to be!
I also wanted to say thank you for all you and your guys are doing for our country. I know God is using you any many ways. We love you and look forward to the day it's over. Stay safe and we are praying for you and think of you everyday! Neil and Sharon Godfrey
