For the first time since I've had children, I'm officially a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) member. FBCEP has a very small MOPS group, which is a shame considering how many Army women there are here that have preschoolers. We had our intro meeting Monday morning. It's a strange dynamic that will take me some getting used to. There's the newbies who are all FBC members or attenders and then there's the old crowd that aren't FBC members or attenders. It will be interesting to see the two groups mesh.
Bailey took his first trip to the Fort Bliss Child Development Center this morning. That was exciting! As I was getting him dressed this morning, I told him that he was going to meet new friends today. From that moment on, he mumbled "no frihs, no frihs" I think he was saying No Friends, but who knows. It was cute, nonetheless. I had to pick him up and place him in his room where there were kids painting and doing puzzles and playing with blocks, etc. 3 hours later when I went to pick him up, the teachers had all the toddlers in the room ASLEEP on cots! I was totally impressed. Bailey was out like a light! I'll have to make him some appointments for next week so he can start getting used to going there and will eventually think it's fun. Maverick and I had Starbucks with a girl I met through Facebook whose husband is a West Point grad and is starting some of the training courses that Jake has already been through.
I thought I'd add this picture of Bailey and his 2 friends who happen to be girls that came and played Saturday night. This was after I had attempted to get them to go to bed for about 2 hours! I had to finally go and lay down with them to keep them from getting up and playing. They were a crazy crew!

Oooh, I LOVE my MOPS group here. We haven't started meeting for the year yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I really like their little magazine.

You are funny! And brave too, with Bailey and his 2 friends going to bed. The Lollipop sale is going on this week up here. I consigned, but haven't shopped. I'm banned.:-)
