Official Announcement

About 8 weeks ago, I started feeling like I was sick. I thought that I just had a stomach bug and it would pass in a few days. It didn't really pass, so I told LT that I thought I might be pregnant. He told me to go buy a test so I ventured out to get one or two. You've gotta have 2 to make sure, right!

As my life usually goes, there in the section of Target where the pregnancy tests are located was a lady from church. I couldn't let her see me buying a pregnancy test! So the boys and I had to circle around until she was out of view. I'm sure that we were leaving a trail of popcorn behind us because we don't go to Target without getting the popcorn special.

I got home and took the test and within seconds it was positive. My honest, initial reaction was devastation! My husband is going to war. I have 2 little boys who are wild and crazy and need constant supervision. I have a part time job that I enjoy. I also wasn't sure how LT would react. I took a picture of the positive test with my phone and sent it to him.

When he got home from work, we shared a celebratory hug and he told me that he was happy that we were having another baby because he had been thinking we should have another.

It took me quite a while to tell anyone. I'm just weird like that. I had to tell one of my friends who was leaving town for a few weeks so I could ask her some questions about the doctors here at Fort Bliss.

The initial shock has definitely worn off. I really am genuinely excited that God would give us another child. I do sort of wonder about His timing and jokingly tell people that I'm not sure why with the 2 crazies I already have He thinks this is the right time to add #3 to the mix! It really is proof that He knows so much better than we do what we need and when we need it.

So come about the middle of May, our family of 4 will become a family of 5! I know for sure that there's only 1 baby because I've already seen its picture.

Congratulations Wade Family! I had a feeling that was it when I saw your post earlier today. Maybe you will have a girl and we will be the same, just in reverse! I will be looking forward to updates.

Miss you,

Tracy

Congrats!!
This is going to sound really bad, but.....I know ALL TOO well the shock of founding out that you're pregnant. The shock from my last pregnancy took me at least three months to get over!! I just wasn't ready for baby number five, but now I can't imagine life without him. God knew exactly what I needed!

I'm excited for you! I can sympathize with the initial reaction - that's what I would do if I got pregnant right now! Are you still feeling sick? Take it easy.
