In my mind I had come up with a zippy little post about why I'm a bad dieter and that stemmed from the fact that I started back on Weight Watchers yesterday morning! Then tonight, I witnessed Bailey vomit for the first time ever so that sort of wins out. Let me just say the smell of his vomit will not leave me any time soon. It's probably permanently embedded in my living room rug. I've not returned to the living room since the episode!
We were hanging out watching the Charlie Brown special tonight because we all know how much Bailey LOVES Snoopy! Every time Charlie Brown would be on the screen Bailey would say "Char Char." He was being pretty pitiful and could barely keep his eyes open. I figure he didn't get a good nap at the CDC and would just go to bed early tonight. About 10 minutes to the end of the special, I look over at him and he begins spewing. All I could say was "GROSS!" I'm not sure he knew what was going on. Jake undressed him and held him for a few minutes and told him he was alright. He was a little bit shaken by the experience.
I'm not sure what caused the spewing, but the contents of the spew was apparently whatever he had eaten at the CDC for lunch today because there were pieces of orange rinds in the spewed contents. So you can just imagine the smell! Poor little thing! Since Jake had taken his clothes off, he decided to take off his own diaper and wanted to take a bath. Suddenly he was back to being his hyper, bad self!
I'm anxious to see what the night holds for him and if he'll be back to normal in the morning.

Jen, hope Bailey is back to himself in the am. I know the various bugs have been going around here. Fortunately no vomiting for our family.
Off to bed.

You don't need to ever work in an elementary school. We have spewing around here all the time. When Bailey's dad got sick he would say, "Mom I choke up", and I thought that was a great description. I sure hope my little precious had a good night and will feel better today.
Love you all!!!!!

GROSS! But at least you/Jake were there to help. Emma's first real spew came in the middle of the night and we heard the splat from the baby monitor followed by her screaming. Spew was on the wall, everything covering the bed and her (including that thick curly hair)~see, it could always be worse...=)
Spewing in the car on a trip is the worst. You have to keep going even though you can't completely get rid of the smell until you get home and hose everything down. I hope it was just something he ate and not a bug going around. Give him some kisses from Grammy & Pop.
So true Grammy - car vomit is the ultimate in spew. I can still remember that smell...yuck!!!!
ben and josh love snoopy too!!!
they just crack up!
