For the Record

Just in case you're wondering why I may be absent from Blogworld for a couple of days, I am absolutely exhausted and there's no time to stop and take a break! The 5 minutes I've spent typing so far could've been better spent doing something more productive like planning a training meeting or making cookies for the training meeting or trying to convince my son that going pee pee on the potty is a good thing or wrapping gifts to give the new mom's at their little brunch tomorrow or doing laundry or trying to get organized for our trip to South Carolina or hiding my head under a blanket and crying a couple of buckets because that's really what I feel like doing. I've had a bad day and it just gets worse as I think about all I need to do before 8:30 tomorrow morning! My 'part time' job has completely taken over my life. It consumes me, every moment of my life, and is a big part of the reason I have to rely on Benadryl now to sleep.

So when you see my blog and it's not updated over the next couple of days, just say a prayer that God would miraculously raise up volunteers who are willing to help a part time interim children's minister and mother of 2 small children do some of the tasks that have become quite time consuming and overwhelming!

I love you. I'm feeling the madness and I don't even have a part time pay/full time consumed ministry position. I'm praying for God's clear revelation and rest. I'm also praying that I can figure out when to head to SC to see you. ;) I think we both need hugs and chocolate and Starbucks' iced latte nonfat with one sweet n' low.

I think I was a bad example when you were growing up of always doing everything myself instead of delegating. I'm still that way. I just can't trust other people to do what I think I can do better myself, and then I just stress and stay up all night and take Excedrin to stay awake the next day and get rid of the headache I brought on myself. Anyway, I'm so proud of you for taking all your many jobs seriously. Take a deep breath and make a list, that always works!!

Hey girl, I'm giving you a big hug right now. I will be praying that you will have wisdom with your situation. Get alone with the Lord and ask him to show you what HIS priorities for you are. I love you and wish I were there to help lift your burden. Hang in there!
