Scars of the Ministry

Sunday night, I was the substitute Music leader for our TeamKid program. During one of the songs, we wave our hands over our heads. 2 kids, a boy and a girl, who can't seem to keep their hands off of each other, were waving their hands in each other's faces. In an attempt to keep them from hurting each other, I stepped in to separate them and ended up getting hit myself. See evidence below. This was Sunday night a few hours after the incident. This was Monday morning as I was getting ready! I'm not sure that it looks much better even today. It doesn't hurt and I forget about it being there until someone asks me what happened to me. LT wants me to be sure that people know he didn't do this to me!
The funny thing now is that Bailey fell off a bar stool this afternoon and hit his cheekbone, right under his eye, on the stool. Now he has a big bruise sort of like mine!

I've learned my lesson. From now on I'll just let the kids beat each other up and avoid the humiliation of similar injuries in the future!

lol. Not that it's funny that you have a black eye, but because I had a black eye a few weeks ago after my friend, Jake, accidentally elbowed me in the face. EVERYBODY had to ask me about it and they all thought I got in a fight. yah right. Just letting you know that I know how you feel!! It took mine a week to finally go away, hopefully yours won't take that long.
