As you know, I'm now my own house cleaner again. I'm not the best house cleaner or keeper, whatever you want to call it. Keeper is probably the better word because I don't do a good job of keeping up with the day to day stuff. LT identified my cleaning/keeping problem very well yesterday! I would much rather tackle a cluttered closet or drawer and do that kind of cleaning than do the every day straightening, wiping, vacuuming, etc. It's the cluttered junked up closet that really causes me more grief than the random day to day stuff that lays around. Yesterday I dropped the boys off at the CDC for a little while so I could tackle my closet. I've been trying to get out winter and maternity stuff for about 2 weeks now. I think I've outgrown everything I was wearing that had a button on it! Needless to say, the closet has been a wreck and really driving me nuts. To really put the nail in the coffin about how messy it was, Bailey came home from the CDC and looked in the closet and said "Where'd all the stuff go?" When a 3 year old knows something is a mess - IT'S A MESS!
Here are a before and after picture.
Last night we met some friends for dinner at the Italian Kitchen West and then to see the new Bond movie - Quantum of Solace. Dinner was great. The movie was a little disappointing. I loved Casino Royale so I was looking forward to more of the same with this one. I think Daniel Craig is a great Bond! I had seen the MSN headline saying that this movie lacked something and that's about the best way to describe it. It just didn't seem like there were near as many twists and turns as there were in previous Bond movies. LT would probably tell you I didn't like it because it lacked the hint of romance that Casino Royale offered. There's an obvious reason for that and you can see for yourself when you go see it or rent it from Redbox.
I've still not found anyone in EP to cut my hair. I've been holding out trying to find someone reasonably priced, but have come to the conclusion after today's cut, that I'm just going to have to suck it up and go to Barragan's where most everyone I know goes to get theirs cut. As I dreaded a year and a half ago when we moved here, this has been one of my biggest challenges. I never knew I'd miss Robin, the girl who cut my hair in SC for almost 3 years, as much as I do. Hopefully I can find someone here soon and stick with him/her for a couple of years.
The boys were going to have a slumber party on Bailey's floor one night this week and this is how it began. Maverick wouldn't lay on his pillow. He's started this thing where he lays down on his belly and wants to be completely covered, head to toe, with a blanket. I didn't get his feet covered today and he started kicking them up and down as if to say "Hey Mom, how could you miss my stinky feet?" Needless to say, the slumber party didn't last very long. Maverick was up shortly after this picture was taken begging for the Thomas Take Along carrier off of the dresser.
I think that's all the randomness I can come up with for today. Enjoy your Saturday.

I think I picked up your closet-cleaning vibe some how because I did the same thing with my closet today! If only I'd thought to take pictures... It was a DRASTIC difference, since I hadn't organized anything in there since we moved in 2 months ago!
Oh, and I feel your pain with finding a good hairdresser. Unfortunately, you do have to pay an arm and a leg to get a good haircut these days. Get a guy - I've always found them to be the best for some reason!
Jen, I absolutely love the new blog look!(might have told you that before, but worth repeating.)
As far as the hairdresser thing goes, I totally feel your pain. I'm blessed that my landlord is a hairdresser, but she does it for me in her kitchen & I don't have to pay her. Thus I feel bad for asking her very often. Well, I'm also trying to grow my hair out so I can cut it all off & donate it to locks of love.
how is the pregnancy going? have you been feeling pretty good?
