This is Jake with Sarge, a Springer Spaniel that lives across the street from my dad. He comes to visit once a day or so and always gets a treat. Jake had a Springer Spaniel when he was a little boy so he loves it when Sarge comes to visit. He says when the boys are old enough to take care of a dog, they can either have a Springer or a Boxer who lives outside!
Here was Bailey being patient, waiting for graduation to begin, reading his Thomas the Train ABC book. I'm sure he can recite the ABC's as many times as he's read this book, but he's too stubborn to reveal his smarts. I started singing the Alphabet song in the car the other day and he started shaking his head and waving his hands while he screamed "NO!"

I am so glad you have started writing again, I love to read about your adventures, or should I say misadventures. You inspired me to start my own blog. Check it our at amanda-mommyx3.blogspot.com. FYI I really miss hearing you sing on Sundays.
EG went through that stage of mommy-no-sing! Now, she knows I'm going to sing, so she just joins in and sometimes even makes a request. =) I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
2 things... one i would love a dog but im allergic....two, holy cow I can not believe that is Jake in the pic...He has lost half of himself since our days at NGC and Converse... Maybe I should join the military... :0)
Hayden covers my mouth every time I try to sing to him... I try not to take offense to that! I thought the picture was a pretty decent one with two boys in it. The ones I get of all three are few and far between.
Jake's springer was named Butch and he was a sweet old dog. He was very religious dog as well. We lived across the street from the church and on Sunday the Sunday School class I talked was just inside the side door of the church. If Butch came over to the church and the side door would be open he would be able to hear me teaching and would come in and join the class. He was a great dog.
