Bailey has officially been to the movies. Yeah! This morning, I took Bailey and Maverick and met our friend, Marie, and her little boy, Christopher, at the movie theater to watch Curious George. It was a lot of fun for the boys! Bailey sat in the seat beside me for about 45 minutes and then got up and stood in front of us for the last part of the movie. He acted just like he does at home when he's watching tv. When something would happen, he'd turn around and comment in his own little language. He really was cute and excited at times! At the beginning of the movie, when George hadn't made his appearance yet, he probably said "Where dGeor?" about 20 times. He couldn't figure out how the "man with the yellow hat" could be on the screen without George. He did spill his popcorn and his drink, but those were minor in comparison to all the scenarios that had played in my mind as we were on our way there. I had come to terms with the fact that we might have to leave before the movie ended. Once again, Bailey proved me wrong. If he weren't so Jekyll and Hyde, I wouldn't have to prepare for the worst so often! He did give me and Maverick a couple of unsolicited kisses during the movie and even walked over and gave Christopher one, too! Wasn't that sweet of him?
Maverick was a very good sport through the whole thing. He did try to get Bailey's drink at one point and we lost a pacifier right at the end. He slept for a little while and just looked around while he was awake.
We'll have to check out the schedule and see when we want to go back. We could go see Over the Hedge next Wednesday morning and Jake could go with us since he'll be off work! Doesn't that sound like a fun way to spend the morning of the 4th of July?

Sounds like a much better experience than Ella's first movie. Lesson learned, naps are important! Like the new look!

Congratulations on your movie experience!! Proud of you!!
Baby steps, baby steps to public arenas! Way to go, j-dub! I don't even think I've taken Emmy to the movies yet.
OK, you and my wife change your blog templates like I change my draws - every 2 days!!!
